today

in my heart i visited her today

she let me hold her hand

we talked

we laughed

we cried

we held each other close

she is gone now

never to return

my memory still holds her hand

in my heart i visited her today

we walked hand in hand

side by side

seemingly going the same way

as time passed we drifted apart

the roads we chose were not the same

in my heart we still walk hand in hand

side by side

where is she now

is she happy

i can only wonder
